Ice over gold

There is a fashion for night desks and gold lightning. It photographs well. It is the wrong metaphor for a local agent.

Power is not the point

A dispatch desk is for work that repeats after midnight. Aoi is for work that still needs a name in the afternoon. The stage is ice because ice shows the edge of a thing. Gold hides it.

We did not want a shield. We wanted a face you could look at without saluting.

Quiet as a constraint

The HUD is thin. The ticker is one line. The character is the product visual, not a dashboard. If a section needs six cards, the section is not ready.

Ice over gold is not a palette lecture. It is a refusal to look operational when the work is intimate.
